Yiannis Kotsis

Yiannis Kotsis is a PhD candidate at the Department of Dietetics and Nutrition at Harokopio University, where he also completed his master, specializing in Sports Nutrition. He began his academic journey at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, graduating with honors from the Department of Physical Education and Sport Science.

He currently serves the National Football Team as a Sports Scientist and Strength and Conditioning Specialist. He served the Hellenic Football Federation from 2009 to 2015 as a Sports Scientist, participating in the 2010 and 2014 World Cups and Euro 2012. Since 2011, he has been a Scientific Advisor on Nutrition and Exercise Physiology for all youth teams of the HFF.

He has extensive experience in similar positions, including the National Cycling Team, Panathinaikos FC, and AEK FC, with which he won the Greek Championship in 2017. He also systematically supports other sports clubs in the Super/Football League as a sports nutritionist. An additional area of research and involvement is the prevention and rehabilitation of sports injuries, which he has applied since 2005, initially with AEK FC, the National Football Team, Panathinaikos FC, and currently with the National Football Team.

His passion for the scientific fields of Nutrition and Exercise led him to create “Science Place Personal Training Studio” I and II, “The Edge Performance Center,” and the “Human Performance Lab” at ABH Medical Group, as well as the “Human Performance Lab” at Theseus Rehab Center. These specialized training centers support high-level athletes and regular exercisers, focusing on functional training and balanced nutrition.
